Our
Web Server & LAN
We have a
4 computer LAN in our house. 3 mini tower PC's and 1 laptop. Our LAN is
connected using Category 5 (CAT5) cable and 10/100 NICs in each computer.
An 8-port fast Ethernet 10/100 switch completes the system. Descriptions
of each computer follows:
BUGSBUNNY
-- This is our server. Bugs acts as our Internet gateway via cable modem.
Bugs is also our web server (you are viewing this site from Bugs), file
server, database server, time server, email server, X10 server (home automation),
and Firewall. Batch files installed on the other PC's on the LAN then
sync their clocks to Bugs everytime they boot up. When Bugs is not busy
handling server requests, it is busy searching for ET life...
BUGSBUNNY has been up for: 7 day(s) 9 hour(s) 35 minute(s) 21 second(s)
